  • The *best* MP3 checker I've ever used, by far. And I haven't even tried the repair or tag edit features yet. Where's the Donate button?

  • I used it primarily for detecting glitches and artefacts in mp3 files. From my experience: if scan detects fault code: [aa]-file have unrepairable problem - download new file. You can make it disappear - using built in tools, but that fault only disappears from list - artefact will actually get more audible. Number of [aa] occurrences in list - is number of artefacts in file... [jb]-music might finish abruptly because it wasn't fully downloaded. Listen to the last few seconds and decide. Re-download file or repair. Keep an eye on faults: [bc] [bg] They can mean problems, but I didn't come across any glitches or artifacts.. foobar2000 repair tools have same effect on [aa] fault - will not help. Essentially you should start with [aa] detection, otherwise other repair actions might mask the problem.

  • This is the very best application that finds and shows you what is in and what is potentially wrong with mp3 tag metadata. The. Best. I use it first to identify what to do, and then last to be sure that everything is cleaned up. I have a large library ~ 200k files. I use other tools like MP3Tag, Foobar2000 and ID3Tag to manipulate the data too, but for certain things like broken streams, null streams, XING headers, multiple streams and many other things, this is the only tool I have that can find and fix them easily. I had trouble with APIC frame jpeg's not displaying correctly in remote airplay devices FOR YEARS, and this app found it - 'progressive' jpegs. No other app I have used (and I have used a lot of 'em) identified this quirk. So my hats off to ciobi07 (and team?) this is an essential tool in my mp3 tag kit. If I had one request: When I hit the "Scan folders for MP3 files" wheel, it literally takes five minutes to return the screen. Finally getting to and selecting an MP3 subfolder in the disk can take a long long time That part of the app could use something.

  • Excellent tool for analyzing MP3 tagging and bitstream errors. Thanks!
